ABC parts sourcing

ABC parts sourcing

Postby jjodzilla » Thu Oct 30, 2014 2:31 pm

So I'm dealing with a high inventory. The previous parts manager has got 46 different parts sources set up. I want to change it to ABC sourcing. I understand the sourcing part but I'm stumped when I go to set it up in Reynolds & Reynolds, it's asking me for low pieces sold and high pieces sold. I know I can't just put anything in there. Any advice on how I get the info to determine what numbers to put in that slot?? Thanks!

try pulling a piece sales ranking report; looking at the last 12 months; from there you can segretate out, into a separate source, those parts with various levels of activity. Mike Nicholes

Reynolds loves to set up sources by movement ( I do not )
What i think it is asking for is the parameters for parts in that source.
