What's y'alls rim compliance

Postby TROUT » Thu Oct 30, 2014 9:10 pm

Is it my imagination or has REAM been dumping a lot of crap on us? In the last few months my compliance has went from
94% to 86%, my new proposals have doubled in the last couple of months and it's all high dollar items.
Normally I don't even question proposals under $50, I just accept them, now every thing is $150 on up and it's all one hit wonders. I just have a hard time adding thousands of dollars of automatic obsolence. Am I the only one this is happining to?

I struggle to keep us over 90%.

But I have given up the notion that they (RIM) are intelligent enough to conspire to manipulate anything; it's just pure incompetence.

I've been running just below or above 86% since the whole SLP program started and have watched my inventory climb about 5%. Most of it one shot wonders compounded by GM's worthless return allotments and RIM's 100% return protection (an out and out lie). Sometimes "struggle" to keep it above 85% without burying the business in worthless inventory. BS programs in the first place as my inventory true turnover is no better than it ever was.

I try to stay around 86% as well. Dropped down to 84.65 at the start of the month and had to quickly approve some junk to get back over 85%. We missed the 3rd week calculation and the 4th puts me at a 3 week average of only 85.13 so I scrambled to dump in another load of crap inventory. I can say I've put way more inventory into my store this month than other recent months.

I've been hovering between 90-92%. Are all of you that are below 90% wholesale dealers? If not you aren't getting the 4.25% max payout on the grid...
My total proposals actual went down by over 100 part numbers compared to this time last year...

85% for retail dealers. I run it real close as I don't have the room for all this crap.

Probably about 45% of our business is wholesale. Been running at the 3.75% payout from the beginning. Have to be satisfied with that or find someplace to put another $50K in inventory. Aint gonna do it, but the next Manager may want to play a different game. With all of GM's "technology and stuff" you would think they would feed the Dealer a little better bone.

I believe a better bone is right around the corner, fortunately for you, you will be at the range smelling burnt gunpowder. I say fortunately because I doubt anyone will like the location of the new bone when they receive it :D
