Please read GlobalConnect message "Introducing the New Collision Go To Market Strategy - MyPriceLink(dot)
com"

Post your thoughts and comment below:

Mine are that we will have to go to ANOTHER website to quote and manually enter every list price on every invoice and repair order for these parts.

Well....just like when GM made "competitive prices" with engines, transmissions, transfer cases, ect. They lowered the list price without lowering cost leaving us with very little profit. I suspect this bright idea will be the same.

"a game-changing platform that will streamline and automate the way you obtain Genuine GM Collision Parts suggested list pricing."
"Streamline"!!!!!!!!! You want "streamline". I can show you "streamline". How about you just leave the damned list price in the price tape! What a friggen concept! Just imagine, you look up the part and the price is right there. Whodathunkit????????

I guess they don't even consider that we sell these parts every day on Service repair orders, OTC and independent repair shops (other than body shops):

Cat converters, mufflers, fuel tanks, moldings, weatherstrips, wheels, windshields, mirrors, seat parts, lamp assemblies.

Another implication will be that our R&R SPG will not work for these parts either. AND we sell dealer to dealer @ published trade price.

No published Trade or MSRP? At least our DMS is somewhat reliable. Our Internet service however is another story... and GlobalConnect even less reliable.

I foresee another DFOAB stonewall.

BIG hassle!

They seem to find a way to suck even more each day than they did the day before - they do get props for that.

Advancement of sucking is something they should be quite proud of

"For those who choose not to use the EMS Data Manager, the MyPriceLink(dot)com web page will provide the most competitive list prices to non-dealers. "

In other words, LKQ (or whoever) can log on under Joe Schmuck Auto Body and get the same pricing information as they can now.
For your "added convenience" we have accomplished NOTHING!!! Except maybe more work for you. What a crock!!!!

LOL - all it'll take is a parts manager somewhere to just sell or rent his oe connection info to LKQ to wipe it right out

Only thing that might save them from that problem though is where they say it's "Market-based collision list pricing will be made available on an individual vehicle basis..."
So apparently, you won't be just typing in a part # to get a price.

sounds like a big steaming pile of shit for us dealers to have to deal with

Wonder if this crap went through DFOAB and passed or did they bypass them like the SLP program?

Is this another Troy Brown brilliant idea?

I must be missing something. How are insurance adjusters going to create estimates without access to MSRP? Isn't there a law or something requiring a published List on retail transactions to prevent "gouging"?
