GM up to their old tricks

I'm on ADP and I'm going to setup a source for these parts and put in my own markup (LIST=Cost +75%, Trade= List -25%).

IF they have a qualifier like the CPVP parts then I can select that in PM and batch change to my new source.

IF NOT then I can select all parts with $0 list and $0 trade in PM and batch change to my new source.

Worst case is I have to do the batch change at the beginning of each month.

This webex at 11 today should be interesting; I hope they will be taking phone calls. :P

I would not count on that, they don't care about the dealers point of view only the $$$$$ :x

From OEConnections "Common Dealer Questions About MyPriceLink"

What if the List Price on an order outside of CollisionLink doesn't match what the MyPriceLink Lookup Tool shows?

Dealers should determine if the List Price a shop has on an order will be honored or if they will only go off the current List Price in the MyPriceLink Pricing Lookup tool within the Dealer Portal.

Is this an attack on dealers price level codes adjusting off of list? I hear a storm brewing!!!!

Another issue that we see is school districts, municipalities and government agencies. Our contract with those customers clearly states their discount to be "List price minus xx%". They do NOT allow for "Cost plus xx%" as a pricing structure. Thanks, GM!

This program is a result of GM trying to slay a beast that THEY THEMSELVES CREATED many moons ago, when they allowed access to collision estimating systems (CCC, etc). Since the estimating systems now also competitively shop for the parts they add to the estimate, GM has decided to remove list price from public view, mostly in an effort to drive business away from aftermarket suppliers. How taking away list prices from the DEALERS will stop the aftermarket escapes me. My take? GM is making an effort to drive our wholesale customers to use CollisionLink and RepairLink exclusively.

Thanks, GM for adding ANOTHER step to selling a part. We were getting bored anyway....

It appears they are not taking phone calls, just messaged questions.

Hooray for censorship.

Just think, now if you want a price it takes about .0003 seconds. December if you want a price "only" about 30 seconds.
I really believe these folks need a cranialrectomectomy. Just SO, SO gald I am out of here shortly. I will be around long enough though to hear SEVERAL local body shops say "no we don't do GM vehicles".

The bottom line to this whole thing, despite all the other bullshit attached, is that its just a way for GM to take away our gross. Which is hard because we're already making nothing on most of these parts anyway.

Hey now!!!!!!!!!!!!! You make 12 1/2% on Bump parts, what more could you ask for? GM is only marking things up 400% to 700% (yes I can prove that). SOMEBODY has to make a living, it just aint you!!!!!!!!!!

Well I bet this new program will use bump, so the customer gets a good deal, and then reject the claims that the dealer submits. Win win for GM, lose, lose for us.
