0W-20?

0W-20?

Got a quick question about the Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance. Our warranty clerk said that GM will not pay bc the oil (0W-20) is billed out under the bulk number (19249488) and that we have to use the standard quart (19259487) on the new escalades. Anyone else run into this?

I think it's actually better for you to use the single qt part # because cost is higher than the bulk # so the warranty markup will be higher than your actual cost.

Been doing that with Dexos all along - buy in bulk, receipt and bill the qt #

BTW, 19249488 is a # for a discontinued CV joint

Be careful they will get you for Parts Loyalty "insufficient purchases" if you bill out a different number than they invoice you for. We purchase bulk # gallons 88864008 (option 1 plan A pricing) and bill out same # as quarts. No issues here.

The latest Bulk Oil Pricing sheet has the part numbers you are supposed to use for the quarts, in accordance with the way it is purchased, ie: bulk, drum, etc.

They track "insufficient purchases" by the quantity ($$ spent) of oil ordered only. Absolutely nothing to do with specific part #s

Each chemical is in a specific category and they only see how much you spent in that category to decide if you've made insufficient purchases
