A prime indicator

A prime indicator

A prime indicator of how "great" GM's programs are.
My "replacement was here for "one day".
A really nice guy and an intelligent young man that has been in parts for 20 plus years and that probably would have treated my people as good as I try to. Sent him home with the print out for "Same Day Service" program and told him here is your home work. He was back in this morning and I started showing him the "RIM" order process. We took a short break after doing a core return and he came back in and said "I have to apologize to both you and the owners, but I have NO concept of how you do this job and if I spent 6 months fumbling through this I do not believe I could make heads or tails of it and I would be a detriment to this dealership. I am done here. Oh well, off to another "candidate".
Why ANYONE would want to deal with this MORONIC program is well beyond me. I have respect for the young man as he has guts enough to be honest and say this system is FUBAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just curious, did the failed candidate ever ask you what the jar of Vaseline is for that you carry around with you all day ??

The YBF syndrome has become so common in the GM world you just bend over and take it like a man.
Just seems like a sad day when an "intelligent" young man looks at a program and flat out says "this is a recipe for disaster" and we did not even get to the "new" Price List program. Just an overview of RIM and SLP.
