The training is now available on the center of learning (LOL) I took it and it is a VERY rough overview but might help at first.

The last message in Global, about the new e.p.c, gave a link to help answer some questions. Its pretty vague, so I will post the link here for your enjoyment.

If you are in a situation such as mine, you should be interested in what the eventual outcome is. I called Snap-On and got a literal deer in the headlights response.

They have no clue what is going to happen or even what I was talking about. My contract expires in May of this year. Some previous admin locked us into a 60 month equipment and software nightmare. NOW, that it appears that you don't really have to have ANY equipment,(because it appears that an online option is available) I'm trying to get my catalog pricing into a comfortable and controllable expense. As you can tell, I have a problem with a corporation, that makes you sign an agreement to pedal their wares, be it for the backing of the warranties that they have given, or the forced research and development (at dealer level) to the current RIM program...and the list goes on. Anyways, rather than ranting about corporate b.s, here is the link:

........or not. It would seem that this board will not allow links. That's....unique. How about this:

Ref. number: Parts / Action - Catalog / G_0000208354

That seemed to work. Enjoy.

The catalog has always been available within Global or on DVD as a stand alone on each machine or on a server provided by Snap-On. Nothing has changed except the catalog. If you have always used your DVDs as a stand alone then you will need to be mindful of the technical requirements to run it, if you use a server and your current one isn't up to par then Snap-On will upgrade it. A few pros to using stand alone or server is that in the event you lose internet connectivity you will still have you catalog available, also the old F key shortcuts that you've become accustomed to will still function exactly the same whereas they won't in the web based version. The message you referenced was poorly worded. The amount you pay is for how many subscriptions you have and you can only use the web based version on PC's with a license assigned to them. So again nothing has changed, the only way to possibly cut your bill would be to dump the server set up if that is what you had and use either the web based or stand alone DVDs but you will still pay a heavy price for your subscriptions regardless.

When the EPC replaced paper we were skeptical. But in time we realized that the efficiency of it saved the company 1 employee (small shop). So until it cost 1 salary, we consider it worth it.

We have had no problems, as long as we use a computer which has the catalog already on it, for licensing purposes. I get a message that states we are not authorized, but select ok and it let's us through.

What version of Internet Explorer are you using and is your Adobe Air up to date? I'm pretty sure Air is the platform they are using. Make sure you aren't using IE 11.

I use IE 11 and can get the EPC. You have to click yes a couple times to get through the Adobe license.
