What do you do w/ parts billed but never picked up/put on ?

Ok so I have a TON of parts laying around that were either billed to customer and never used, or just billed straight to ucd etc...What is the best thing to do with them? Returning to GM and get nailed 35% or try ebay? Any other ideas out there

I just send them back to GM, so much less headache than Ebay. You already got paid for them so who cares about the 35%. Things billed to stock units, I hold for about 6 months just in case.

We donate old parts to local technical schools and high schools or send back to GM. Little stuff we scrap.

How about field scrap parts? I know GM wants you to break and throw away. The parts manager before me never got rid of any. Any good buyers out there anyone no of?

you'll get in deep doodoo if you get caught selling or doing anything other than throwing away field scrap parts

They would be discarded, if the customer has not picked them up or Service has not put them on, within a reasonable amount of time: 90-120 days.

How about if some parts are over the 120 days would you use your return reserve to send them back if they are already paid for?

If you have an excess of return reserve that you're not going to use that's better than getting 75 cents on the dollar at the end of the year.

For the last four+ years I have used all of my return reserve every year to get rid of obsolete parts and excess stock that RIM didn't take back. This will be the first year that I may actually be able to use reserve on CSO returns. So yeah I probably will.
