MAY DISCS: SNAP-ON EPC

MAY DISCS: SNAP-ON EPC

Postby Denise Trimble » Thu May 07, 2015 11:31 pm

Our Discs took almost an hour to load on each pc today. I knew it would be longer than usual, just did not expect that long! Usually only 15-20 minutes at the longest. Next one (last time they come out) should be a doozie!

Side note: Standalone PCs will need to be upgraded to accommodate 250GB of space on hard drive for the catalogs alone when going to the Next Generation EPC.

Already scheduled 3 PC upgrades here.

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer 10 or older and not 11 or Firefox or Chrome.

You will also need to make sure your profile has Parts Advisor marked.

Forgive me if I'm asking questions that have already been asked (multiple times, perhaps) but will we still be able to access the catalog via the link on Global disConnect come June? I realized upon receiving my update discs a few days ago that two of our three computers need the hard drive upgrade and I'm guessing it'll be a while before SnapOn gets back with me for the request I sent. If I don't get my upgrade before the June "switch" what happens? Anyone know?

You probably can use the link, but maybe not, due to licensing issues. We own our PC's, and we just bought 3 new ones, and gave to old ones to service (they were still far newer than some of theirs!!)

The two in my parts department were the ones that came with our latest SnapOn renewal in 9/13. Amusing that both those PCs are NOWHERE near where they need to be in terms of hard drive space, yet the computer in my office (which is much older) has plenty of room.

its 5:13pm and computer guy started our upgrade over 2hrs ago and is having issues loading software. :(
Only have 2 to upgrade so i'm hoping once he gets past the issues that the 2nd install goes much smoother. :ugeek:
