Partsman,

Did you order your upgrade through the link provided by SnapOn? Or did you handle it another way? I submitted the request through SnapOn Monday but haven't heard anything back yet.

If you use a server for the catalog to the parts computers only the server needs to have 250GB free. Terminals do not. If you do not use a server and load catalog on individual computers then you will need 250GB of free space on each terminal.

Matt, yours are stand-alones (unless you changed). You should be good with next months update. We had a server that had to be upgraded. And like Partsman, our computer gal had a heck of a time
getting everyone install. All good today tho! :x

Already scheduled 3 PC upgrades here.

Phil, I know ours are standalones, my concern is that each PC requires 250GB of hard drive space and neither has anywhere close to that much space. So, when the new discs come and I try to load them--if they won't load because I don't have enough hard drive space, can we still use the link on Global Connect until SnapOn gets us our hard drive upgrades? Guess I'm the only one running into a time constraint here. Maybe it said somewhere before what the new hard drive space requirements would be, but the first official correspondence I saw that mentioned it was with my May update discs I got last week.

Online will be fine. We have been using online for about a month no problem on our terminals. Our hard drives are only 90gb free.

Yeah, we've been using the online version since it became available on GlobalConnect. My concern was that the link would be removed from GC when the new catalog discs shipped next month. I did speak with Snap On this morning and they confirmed the link on GC will be permanent. So, at least if my upgrades take forever, we'll have it as a backup. But, if GlobalConnect goes down (What? Neeever?) we won't be able to use our standalones until they're upgraded.

Did anybody else get another set of discs in the mail over the weekend?

SNAPON: if you did NOT have any issues running the 1st set of DVDs, then there is no need to run the new set of DVDs
