Part of the change that is going to hurt the most is the YOY growth factor. If your purchases decrease by 20% on a rolling 90 day period you get 0% incentive. Especially considering this time last year purchasing was heavy with recall parts.

This abortion of a “program” is just going to get worse. GM will chip away at any aspect of it that has any semblance of favorable usefulness to the dealers. 1 percent return reserve and 1 percent stock order discount is a f@#$ing joke. And just wait; they’ll eventually get rid of the overnight shipping

We received a ton of switches, and they started arriving last June.

Good point but those switches did take your techs away from meaningful, profitable work that they are now able to do. It should wash out just fine as far as any of the recalls go IMO

Not to mention, I highly doubt it matters what you've received...just what you've been invoiced for.

Can you receive parts from GM, and not be invoiced for them? That sounds awesome! :D

My growth YoY is .7%. I am having a fluke year in powertrain and collision. Without the 20% growth in those areas, I am screwed. I have really begun to downsize many of my fast moving parts. For example, GM felt we needed 30 day supplies of most oil filters. My wiper blade collection was taking up half a row of bins. Coolant and DEF stocking was getting out of hand. Whatever GM proposed for these things, I cut in half. I love how REAM, will take back 4K/month of return and try and stuff me with 8K of new stuff. I am smallish dealer, I do not have the space to be a warehouse for their parts. That's what the PDIs are for.

We have another two years of this current program until it gets tweaked again. Then we are really screwed.
