ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SHIP WEIGHTS

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SHIP WEIGHTS

Postby johnmc98 » Wed Jun 17, 2015 5:13 pm

Does anyone know where to find out what the ship weights are for engine and transmission core returns going to Focus Hope? Some numbers have a weight listed on Global in the part information section and some don't. I have two cores setting here ready to go back to FHE and neither one has that information so that I can get Menlo to schedule a pickup. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I usually just guess when shipping LTL stuff. 220 for a trans, 550 for engines. They'll just adjust the weight if it's way off and it really won't matter If you're billing collect or third party.

In the interim, I tried googling the numbers of the cores I have here to ship and came up with a couple of weights that sound pretty close. Will do a little more checking and use these if I can't find anything definitive.

In parts workbench go to "Parts Information" and down on the bottom of the screen, it lists the size and weights of everything

Usually I would agree with that statement, but in the case of the 2 that I have been researching, one engine, a 6.6L diesel shows 11.02 pounds, and the other, a 4 cylinder shows 0 pounds on the basic part information screen.
