Deleting a Make in Reynolds

Deleting a Make in Reynolds

Postby PMDN » Fri Jun 26, 2015 12:19 pm

Hello,

Reynolds ERAccess

Had two makes at one location. One make moved 2 miles down the road. In Reynolds, the make that moved is now store 3. Store 1 in Reynolds still has the make that moved set up. I want to delete that make in store 1. If I go to 2322 and try to delete the make, I get "WARNING ! ALL PARTS WITH THE MAKE MUST BE DELETED FIRST". I ran a 6910 with that make and QOH >=1, and no part numbers come up. Do I really have enter every part number for the make I want to delete in 2101 and change (9) status to DLT before I can delete the make? Thanks.

You might call Reynolds. 1-800-767-0080. They may be able to do a mass delete for you.

We are on ADP/CDK / KMA/ PDQ (whatever they call it now :D ) so my R&R memory is fuzzy.
If I remember correctly you should be able to go in 2109 to do a mass change of all parts to DLT. Then you just have to wait till the new month for them to delete.

Yep, this is the way to do it. Select all parts, regardless of QOH, and set them to DLT. Afterwards, run 6910 and list parts for the make that aren't in DLT status-- chances are there that will be some, though I can't recall if RB/RBH parts will precent deletion. Parts must have 0 QOH to be set to DLT.

When 2182 runs, they'll be deleted.

First thing to do is print 2257 Parts Kit Report.

You have to delete all parts kits in 2108.

Then go to 2109 and do the Mass Change of Selected Fields. There will be an exception report you can print afterwards. Myreyrey was very helpful.

The only issue I had was one Honda battery billed on an 6 month old Acura RO. Because it was an Acura, it did not get transferred to the new store. Overall, much easier than I though it would be.
