GM touch up paint

Checking answerbacks this morning. 19328528 on rim order increased quantity to 12 to meet min buy. Checked some other paint part numbers and they are all now minimum buy of 12. Some of these I sell 2-3 a year. What will I do with a 6 year supply of touch up paint. if I sell 1-2 a year it will never get called back by RIM and its gonna go bad after sitting that long on the shelf. What kind of idiot comes up with this crap.

I special ordered one yesterday and it upgraded to 12 also.

Same thing happened to us this morning: RIM upgraded our quantity to 12. I would like to believe this is an error. Will call them.....

I just ordered my last tube of touch-up paint then. Unless this is a mistake, I will not bend over and take that crap.

I just instructed my counterguy that we will not be ordering any and when we sell what we have in stock, we will bill it I/O using the code # so the qtys stay the same in inventory.

It will be interesting to hear what kind of bullshit story the Corporation is
going to come up with to explain why after all these years (43 for me) we need to order 12 bottles of touchup paint.

I have 2 of the same paints on backorder from different orders from June. On the phone with SPAC (on hold) now trying to cancel them since it wouldn't let me manually cancel them.

I'm not getting stuck with or buying 24 of them.

Hopefully that is a mistake on GM's end somewhere. Their new improved paint tubes have been nothing but a pain here and I would rather not deal with it at all, but I know it is something we need to sell. I have had so many tubes that the tops would not come off of because according to GM they were over torqued at the factory, not sure I buy that theory but who I am my but an old grumpy Parts Manager. Oh well enough for now, have a great day all.

Well, I just remembered we special ordered a 19329565 touch up yesterday. It increased qty to 12.
Of course, we haven't received them yet but order status does say 12 were referred to direct ship.
