Seat Cover Retail Opportunity

Hey,

I'm new to the forum, but there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here.

I'm a Parts Manager for a GM Dealership

I have a lot of customers ask about seat covers, and generally I have to turn them away because we don't have a good source for them.
I'm wondering if anyone has become a dealer for a seat cover retailer and if anyone could suggest a good company to become a dealer with?

with the addition of seat mounted airbags, seat covers are a BAD idea.

We do not sell or suggest seat covers due to liabilty issues. The previous post says it all. Air bags are every where on these vehicles, so be carefull if you sell anything going inside the cockpit.

I have used Covercraft SeatSaver seat covers and they have provisions for the air bags. Many farmers in our area appreciate the opportunity to keep their seats from ripping down the seam from getting in and out of the truck so often. I have referred people to the website, if I thought they may have any reservations regarding their air bag deployment clearances.

we are a rural dealership and its mostly farmers and the like that ask about seat covers. Just trying to capitalize on an opportunity, but I didn't even think about the airbags inside the seats.

I don't sell them for the same reasons already posted.
GT Covers claims to have air bag friendly seat covers and there is a video on their site showing air-bag deployment if anyone's interested.

gt covers are good quality. And a PAIN to install (they fit really, REALLY tight.)
