RIM Purchase Loyalty at 11% due to posting error

RIM Purchase Loyalty at 11% due to posting error

Postby PARTSPHIL » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:14 pm

On Aug 7th, one of my counter guys accidentally posted a quantity change in 2010 (Reynolds). Instead of posting qty of 1, he posted the qty of 1680. This was corrected later in the day. Now, Reynolds is showing the 1680 as sales occurrences. Since I only purchased one from them, the remaining 1679 are showing as disloyal purchases. I have contacted my DMA, who told me to submit a manual adjustment request to samedayadjuster which I did. They called me and said that they couldn't do a manual adjustment because it wasn't a purchase issue, it was a sales issue and to contact my DMS. I contacted Reynolds and they said that since it was already done, that nothing they did could change the way it was already reported to GM. Said to contact my DMA. Round and round I go. Has anybody else experienced this or have any advice? I can't be the only one that has been victimized by a posting error.......

Call RIM and explain what happened and they should have a # for you to call to get it fixed. I'm pretty sure that's who gave me the number. I had actually created a DFOAB issue about not being able to find the department that handles that. I was looking for that # the other day for another thread and couldn't find my original email. It is a different department that takes care of sales issues and I've since lost that contact.

My issue was a bit different but I'm pretty sure the same department that fixed mine can handle yours. I was having parts failing the price filter that shouldn't have

sorry I'm not more help

Also, I think in 2010, if you put the counterman # and an invoice # in those fields when you are making adjustments, they treat those adjustments as sales for some reason. If you just enter through them, leaving them blank, it just adjusts whichever way you are adjusting. Think I ran into that issue once but I'm not on Reynolds anymore

I just found my old DFOAB issue on this. Here's the email address I was given by RIM

gmdde at gm dot com

I created the issue after not hearing back from them for a couple days and then I finally did hear back so it was a valid address.

The person I ended up speaking with was Amy King. She was very helpful and fixed my problem

good luck

Well, Friday I sent emails to the email discussed above and to my DMA, explaining my plight. Left here Friday not knowing if either person even got the emails. Monday, I check my loyalty and it is back to normal and the posting error is gone! The bad part is that I do not know who to thank. Never heard from either email. Oh, well, on to the next one! And thanks again for the info Zep, I would bet on Amy being the responsible party.
