SNAP-ON CATALOG INOP

SNAP-ON CATALOG INOP

Postby X476 » Mon Aug 17, 2015 10:23 pm

Had to restart my computer to day due to an internet explorer problem. After restart I tried to log back into the catalog (inhouse) and I get the following message.
"Could not find Main Class:com.Snapon.sbs.install.Launcher

What the hell does that mean and how do I fix it, sat on hold with snapon for 10 minutes without talking to any one. I am using the online version and emailed them but its been 6 hours and still no answer.
any help would be appreciated.

When you say "online version" you mean off of GlobalConnect? If so maybe clear internet cookies/history cache and restart?

If you still have the instructions for installing the new EPC on the client side (user) get them, if not get them from Snapon website. Go thru it for that PC. It will only take a min or two. Thats what I did to fix it for me.

If those ideas above fail, Snap-on support can log right into your PC and see what's going on.

They finally called this am. They logged in and fixed it, something about a id not saved in the correct area and when I restarted the pc it lost that id. Fixed and running now. Thanks for the help.

I don;t mind change but to be honest this new catalog is a huge step backwards in my opinion. I left 1 computer running the old catalog and it is so much more user frienedly. Just venting. LOL
