Check your Global Warranty this morning

Check your Global Warranty this morning

Postby Zep33 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 12:18 pm

There's a known issue when calling in to the DBC that some parts are moving from the green to yellow and others moving into "pending debit" all by themselves

DBC can't help any further than the automated message and say to call WPC.

I've got $5400 claim sitting in pending debit status that hasn't even been picked up yet

I had one Friday that did that, moved from green to red with a Pending Debit notice. I packed it up and shipped it, and called the WPC to let them know that they had an issue. I haven't heard a word from them yet.

I did get through to Jackie at the WPC about my transmission.

She said they're aware of the problem and working on it. She guessed why I was calling even before I told her

No idea if they'll get these fixed before some of the pending debits actually debit. (I said that, not her)

Wouldn't surprise me if this whole thing happened due to an incorrect date on a PC/server somewhere.

There's a bulletin on it at the top of the Service main page in Global:

Global Warranty Management System Technical Issue Involving Parts Return Pending Debits
Updated Date: Sep 14, 2015 9:45 ET
The Global Warranty Management System recently encountered a technical issue which resulted in certain Warranty Parts Center (WPC) Parts Return requests moving to "Pending Debit" status prior to the expiration of the 21 day part return window. GM is working to resolve the issue and will provide a further update to dealers when more information is available. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience while we resolve this matter.

If the old Global home page was up maybe some more people would be able to find the message.

right, like a parts issue should be posted to service and service only

Got an email from my rep today to tell me about the parts manager survey. Great timing to be dealing with stupid issues again....

Even after they've acknowledged this problem, it's still going on.

Had another one show up as pending debit this morning.

Holy crap - those assclowns actually debited us $5400 this morning for a transmission that's not due back until the 25th.

My warranty clerk is freaking out

So even though they knew of this issue, they went ahead and debited anyway instead of stopping all debits

And I thought my hatred for them couldn't grow anymore.

Complete incompetence at it's worse

Yup, us too. My office gal called me in a panic this morning. Sent an email to my DMA and CC'd everyone I could think of so we have something in writing. My guess is GM will take their sweet time crediting this back to us.
