SLP my @55

SLP my @55

Ordered a 25893369 and 25893394 on Friday 9/25.
Both parts are service lane parts and available in 76.
I usually get parts from 76 in 2 business days 3 at the most.
Since they are SLP I should have had them Tuesday at the latest either way.
Still have not received either for my best wholesale customer and my Administrative PDC cannot give me an explanation why I still do not have them.
Rant over.

Not defending GM because they shouldn't have the SLP indicator on these parts to begin with. But they are oversized parts which GM will not send overnight.

Oversized or not they should still be to me in 2 business days; 3 at the most. 1 day from 76 to my PDC, PDC to crossdock, crossdock to me.
And I agree why would they be SLP parts if they aren't overnightable...

Ever noticed that lug bolts are Service Lane Parts and lug nuts are not ?????????
I'd like to hear their explanation for how they arrived at that decision.

Still did not receive them btw. Talked to my cross dock earlier; they said they should be scanned in by 3pm today and I should have them tomorrow!
My PDC tells me it takes 4 days to get a part from 76. Unbelievable!

FYI Not defending GM on SLPs but this is what we have learned. Go to Global Disconnect. Go to Search Part Information. Your number is a SLP. Now note the length of
package at the bottom. 129.3! Now hit locate part at the top. OVN is blank. That is a non-overnightable part. ;)

I understand it is not an overnightable part bc of the size.
That doesn't change the fact that the part is listed as an SLP and I ordered it 6 business days ago; 7 calendar days.
Whatever they are doing is not working for our dealership or my customer. FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, but IT is working. GM bought a lot of stock in Auto Parts stores, and implemented Same Day Repair so they could have those stocks SOAR!
