Battery replacement under GM factory warranty

Battery replacement under GM factory warranty

When you replace a battery in a vehicle that is still under the bumper to bumper warranty what part of the label on the new battery are you guys removing and attaching to the R.O.? In P & P it states to remove the warranty statement and warranty insert from the battery and retain as part of the job card. Is the warranty statement the label on the front of the battery? Is the warranty insert on the top part of the battery with the date code on it?

we remove the small tag on top and attach to the RO. Out to the side of the tag that is on top of battery, it states : Warranty will be voided if removed". We only remove that tag when a battery replacement falls under the "bumper to bumper warranty" because it has the group number, part number, date code and serial number.
