Looking for a counterperson

Looking for a counterperson

Postby Lutom » Wed Oct 07, 2015 8:30 pm

I wouldn't normally post something like this here, but I've been looking for a counter person for a few months now.

If anyone knows someone looking or is interested, please message me. Chevy dealership in the southeast Michigan area.

Good help is few and far between. Add a message to your parts locator. It is free (you already pay for this service) and you hit your exact target market. Better than any newspaper ad. Trust me. Every counterperson in the area will see this ad.

Whenever you talk to another counterperson, either your brand or another manufacturer, ask them if they know anyone looking. It is a legit question, and it will spread the word that you are looking.

Are you looking for someone already trained, or are you willing to train a qualified 'apprentice' and "bring them up" in the business.

I would prefer someone already trained, but I would be willing to go either route.

If you can't find skilled people, and that is often difficult, consider an apprenticeship route. Contact you local high school counslor with what you are looking for and ask their assistance in finding someone smart and bright that just might not be the 'college type'. A lot of dealerships with whom I have worked over the years have found this a very rich and viable source for good people; new..yes, green...yes; a green as a pond willow, but teachable and they come in at minimum wage and work up from there.

Just an idea

I had wonderful success recruiting from some of the local parts stores. I hired three individuals, at three different times and each one worked out well. Good luck in your search.

try INDEED - if you google it you will find it-I have had great luck finding people-you just search for the position in your area tht you are looking to fill and you will find resumes that people post on indeed and you can email them for free and see if they are happy or maybe interested in talking.
