GM DPF cores

GM DPF cores

Postby possum » Fri Nov 06, 2015 4:53 pm

Has anyone ever been debited on a DPF core for duramax diesels? We have one with a disintegrating ceramic screen. When we were Isuzu they were very strict on these, and would not accept. But does GM have a policy on this? I called Hollingsworth and of course, they're closed on Fridays! ...must be nice...

I sent one back a month ago, no credit yet. Exhaust was mangled from a body shop job. I called fhe to ask if it needed to be cut at the ends of the dpf and they asked for it back whole but the body shop already cut off the rest of the muffler-back. They told me it would be ok.

FHE didn't have a definitive response other than to call a contact of theirs at GM. He stated there is no specific policy for these DPF's yet... but he echoed my concerns with Isuzu's acceptance issues on the Duramax products (injectors, turbos DPFs etc.) but that's between them and them for now.

So we processed the return, and we'll see about that credit.
