Customer needs 20843116 mirror (verified with VIN) new mirror has 10 cavity connector using 5 wires. Mirror on truck has 8 cavity with 8 wires used. Customer purchased new and has not changed anything. Partec says its the correct mirror and has no answers on what we need. Any Ideas.

20843116 is a DL8 option code mirror which the 10 cavity connector is correct. A DL3 mirror would have the 8 cavity according to SI.
I would suggest getting a tag number off the inside of the sail panel on the old mirror and double checking the vin number on the dash and door.

You are correct but DL3 is with turn signal in mirror and this truck does not have them. I am waiting for customer to get me tag number from truck, The mirror harness tag number is gone. Build sheet and EPIC both show truck equipped with DL8. As soon as I get this I have a case with Partech.
