Manufactuers Programs

How many of you have tried to keep your dealer from signing up for a program? I kept this store out of RIM until they basically forced us in (sent a VP to strong arm us, and about the same time introduced the Non-RIM terms).

I just can't believe that a businessman would sign-up for 90% of this garbage. If the dealer body stood up, most of this garbage would fail. RIM, LPO, and Same Day repair are all deceitful programs that rob the dealership, and should have never come about. It is just pressure to follow the other sheep, or is it that they just won't listen to reasonable knowledge from Us?

I agree a 1000 percent with your statement. I suppose prior to GM going Chapter 11 (bankrupt)
you could probably fight them and probably win. Unfortunately, with Chapter 11, they were able to rewrite the franchise
agreements to THEIR advantage. Unless you're a dealer with deep pockets and can sue them to get some kind of relief, you're
kinda stuck.

It's their game and their rules.

Sucks that it's slowly being run into the ground by clueless idiots.

Legally, I'm certain the dealers are held to the agreements. Unless ALL DPs group together, big and small, absolutely NOTHING will happen.
