Switching to FLeet packs

Switching to FLeet packs

Postby GMpartsLux » Tue Feb 16, 2016 4:08 pm

So I would like to start stocking several air and cabin filters in fleet pack part numbers since they are so much cheaper. Does anyone know of a way to move sales history from the oe part numbers to the fleet pack numbers so rim will take over ordering the new numbers and stop ordering the oe numbers.

I think if you just over-order them, say a dozen or so then as you sell them RIM will pick up the sales and recommend stock. If you want RIM to see the history of your old single-packs and apply it to the fleet-packs you'd prolly need to call the help desk.

Careful with that, especially if you monitor your Loyalties. How we approached this was post lost sales on the fleet numbers. Yes its a bit time consuming but you have sold the OE numbers for so long whats another few weeks? After posting several lost sales on each of the fleet numbers, Rim eventually picked up the idea that we needed them. Thus, we did not get hammered by the "powers at be" for the having stock on hand and loyalty numbers dropping once rim did pick them up.

hope this helps

I agree...we've used the lost sale technique on occasion and it has always worked well.
