VIBE INFLATOR RECALL

VIBE INFLATOR RECALL

Postby CHUCKINPARTS » Thu Mar 31, 2016 3:33 pm

Has anyone seen a problem with a vehicle that won't idle after disconnecting the battery to do the inflator recall on the Vibes???? Our techs notice that the idle motor runs back to a base setting and the throttle body is to dirty and needs to be cleaned. The service mngr has posed the question to our rep as to who will pay for the throttle body clean. He has said GM will not pay for this. The customer says it ran fine before I brought it in for this recall........ and he is correct.

I've yet to hear of anything like that happening to the ones that we've had in here for recall.

We have done 105 of them and service tells me we have had 7 of them that would not idle and couldn't even get out of the stall. I can't see a problem with how they do the repair. I guess we are just lucky...................
