Amazon Delco parts?

Thanks Bailo1 for getting that done. Looks like this one dealer is competition against all other dealers.

Some dealers around my local area I call friends, they sell us a hard to get part and we do the same favor in return. And some dealers a fair distance away sell and deliver to what would be our customers for just a few pennies over cost. Those dealers are not our friends.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought GM frowned on dealers selling parts on E-bay. If this is true what makes Amazon any different.

My son works at an Amazon warehouse in central Florida. One day he called me and said, Dad why is it that Amazon stocks GM parts? I said that's a good question. Not only GM but Toyota as well. So don't think its only 3rd party stuff somehow Amazon is able to buy and stock GM parts.

What about Jegs performance parts, they sell GM Engines, I had a customer come in who bought an engine from them, it had to be warrantied and THEY told him to go to any GM dealer and they would warranty it. It also says on their website concerning warranties any GM Dealer will handle the warranty on their product. If I follow the P&P we don't do it.. Jegs says we do. This customer is going around in circles right now with my GM saying we are responsible and all the paperwork (P&P) says we aren't... Jeez"

I went through this crap for years!! Jegs is buying from some whore of a dealer. If the customer wants GM warranty then all they do is call Jegs (or whoever) and they will FAX him a copy of where the dealer sold it to Jegs. The warranty is completely transferable so away you go. Yup GM MUST stand up to the plate, cost + 40%. There seems to be whores in every line of work so I would not doubt that some other whore of a dealer is selling to Amazon just to get the numbers for returns and kickbacks. I hope they are reading this whoever they are just to let them know it must be nice to have a greasy butt!!

GM has a program with OECOnnection to get you selling gm parts on ebay.. Of course OE gets their monthly fee from the dealer.

we've got a 1992 corvette in the shop now, they sold 6 fuel injectors for the job.

the injectors are discontinued, i bought 5 from other dealers. the parts manager bought the 6th one from amazon. :shrug:

oe has been calling us pretty steadily the last week or so. starting to get irritating

We are on the oec ebay thing and it needs to be looked at very close before signing up. It is time consuming and hard to break even before you price yourself out of the market. Remember oec charges 99 a month and then you pay ebay a commission and paypal a commission. Don't forget shipping either, it adds up. We are not going to continue after the year is up.
