Sprint Shipping

Just a quick rant sorry. If you are going to pick up a Sprint request please follow through with it. I just got screwed over by 2 dealers on separate SPAC Cases. 1 claims his part was damaged but never canceled it and the other 1 claims they never picked the SPAC Case up. I did notify SPAC to flag these dealers. Hopefully that happens.

I've had that happen, and it sucks. I know it's a pain in the ass, but be sure to follow up with the SPAC dept. so those dealers
don't get paid for something they never shipped.

I've got mine set up to e-mail me on notifications, my mailbox is also on my cell-phone so I get a beep when a request comes over. Then I can hop to my desk and get a sale. We only get two or three sales a month because a lot of items they are looking for are in special order hold, and we had to SPAC them in too. But once in a while it's an item on phase-out or I was going to return anyway. Sometimes it's something small and you question if it's worth it, but I think about the other dealer with a car down; I would want them to do the same for me...
However, while we have NEVER knowingly shipped out a damaged or 'tested' part, we get a TON of CRAP from other dealers. Obviously installed, damaged in a perfect container, missing components, etc that they were stuck with, and it's shameful that these folks would do that to another store when we're all in the same boat.

I do, and the request is expired when I check it. Either other dealers are really fast or my email/OE connect is really slow. We may get 1-2 sales a month, but we where getting 5-7 possibilities a month. Just like possum a lot were SOP parts held for customers.

Do you guys try and ship the items the same day as long as it is before like 4:00? We do everything possible to get it out the same day since it usually is something someone really needs asap. I just had another dealer tell me they didn't Sprint the part yesterday because FedEx was there already and he didn't get the paperwork until 1:00 and he said FedEx won't come back, FedEx comes to us a few times a day our office is always scheduling pick ups.

I recently had another dealer SPRINT me the wrong part. Since they were one of 2 dealers in the country even showing the part, I called them directly and told them what they did. They did finally send out the right part, via Fed-Ex ground, and requested that I ship their part back and pay for the shipping. I declined and asked for a call tag. I just got an invoice from them for the part. Do they REALLY think I'm going to pay it? It's going out freight collect today, now.

Two weeks ago, we had problems with OEC cancelling the request as it came in! The part number would appear, and as soon as it did, we would try to click on it & it would say it was expired already. We were trying to capture it to the Declined List, and we finally were able to get it, but it was two days of trying on the same part # which showed 100+ missed opportunities per day  We called to notify them of the error, but it was not fixed until a couple days went by.
