We need a dash for a 2015 Silverado. Catalog shows #23340021. Part number changed to 23421601 and BO's. I find a dealer with the old number, call SPAC to get it sprinted. I had to call partec, wait on hold for 10 minutes, to get a case number saying it will work in place of the 23421601. That's a good 45 minutes I'll never get back. Love that great GM feeling!

I ordered a windshield yesterday for a 2016 Lacrosse w/head up display, part# 26670118. Order referred to direct ship. Answerback on DS order said "future part, not yet available."
Call Spac. They say we might be able to use 26264638, same w/shield but for 2014/2015. I was told I should talk with Partech on compatibility.
Call Partech, explain situation. She says the 26670118 (2016/no stock) will work on the 2014/2015 but the 26264638 (2014-15/stock available) will not work on a 2016.
Call Spac back. explain situation. Spac person has supervisor "reach out" to supplier trying to get an idea on availability. For some reason, they cannot place an order until this is found out. She says she will follow up within 48 hours.
Spac calls back within a couple hours. She can now do an order for me and immediately makes a Spac case. Still no promise date.
And now we wait ..........

This took a good hour on the phone. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and pleasant. The process is the problem.

When I worked at a Chrysler store several years back they had an online form on DealerCONNECT you could fill out with VIN, etc., explain what you needed and they would email you a response.
Why GM doesn't have something like that is beyond me. :roll: I would use it anytime I didn't need an immediate answer (like yesterday).

The last time I had a windshield issue, I made a DFOAB case about it and got a number for the PGW call center that handles all the orders for the GM program. I was told to call them anytime that I ran into an issue...give them a call @ 800-758-0811 and see if they can help you out.
