RIM Returns Error

On May 9 a change was made in the GM CCA return system which caused all RIM-generated returns to go to the "F" document (field scrap) in error. This error impacted RIM returns May 9, 10 and 11. If you have not scrapped the parts already, please hold off doing so. We are making changes to the system to correct this problem.

If I have gotten all Field Scrap it would have been gone in an INSTANT.....no freight charge, no returns for packaging, ect.....easy answer, It's already gone, sorry GM

Scrapping was done after lunch. We bent mldgs, cut gaskets, destroyed boxes,tossed scrap metal into recycle bins. Received the email bulletin at 2:02 PM. They better not try to come back at us for doing exactly what they told us to do. We all looked at each other and said... THEY WANT TO SCRAP EVERYTHING... I then told everyone... ITS GM ... its not supposed to make sense.

Some of the parts I've gotten lately have been worn out from being RIMMED in and out of so many stores. I had one the other day that had 7 blue return labels on it!!

Faxed in to PDC yesterday. Received credit today!!!!

So now we get the paperwork and the parts are not to be had. Whats next?

Now they are saying the error notice was sent out "before" the scrap paperwork was issued. I don't think that was the case.

Has anyone that scrapped before receiving the message had any contact with gm yet?

We had scrapped ours as soon as we received the paperwork an we did get the credit.
