Just like Parts Trader, I was informed today that we are expected to honor price quotes from June in December when the car comes in (we had a huge hail storm) We have appointments into Feb. of 2017.

I wonder, IF, the prices were to drop by then, would this be the case. In six months, a lot of things can happen to affect prices of anything from fuel to food, which in turn affects parts pricing.

I'm listening to the MyPriceLink Hard Launch Open Forum Calls this morning.

Entertaining to say the least.

They just honestly and ignorantly DONT CARE. Its just like the EPC they couldn't give a flip what you think.

Unless every Parts Manager in the country write a letter to DFOAB, then we are simply the minority class of "whiners" that constantly complain about every change GM makes. Problem is, half the PM's probably don't know what the DFOAB even is, or they don't care either and just roll over for the pokin'

For those of you on CDK/ADP... Are you guys having to override every single price? In other words, I type in a part number for a bumper... I get the prompt that shows List=0.00, and it asks me for a sale price. Now I have to hit lets say "1" which it now says "COST IS GREATER THAN SALE AMOUNT" which I then have to hit Y for yes, to then get to a prompt where I can type my L=33200 S=L-25 or whatever. For. Every. Single. Part. There has to be a better way. I was hoping we would plug list in from MPL, and CDK would auto calculate the price based on their setups. I can't believe that everyone is doing it this way....

All of these parts should be in source 103.

Go into SPB and select source 103.
Set up list as cost plus 66.67%
Set up trade as cost plus 25%
Set up a shop matrix price (Price06) to what ever your want it to be.

All I did was go into SPB and set all sources that show $0.00 list to mark up cost plus 67% and all trade prices that show $0.00 to mark up cost plus 25%. I took some test numbers last week and compared them to today. On a $900.00 hood I am $1.79 off and on a $63.00 part I am off $0.13 and these prices are higher than GM market driven list price. I say close enough and I'm not spending another $250.00 and whatever CDK will wack me for setup to hit 13 key strokes to transfer a part number. What a complete waste of time having to deal with this crap. The only issues are going to be with insurance and aftermarket warranty companies.

TIMK,
Check source 104 as well.
I have 7 times as many as I do in source 103.
All source 104 has no list or trade either.
source 103 ABCD field begins with "M"
source 104 ABCD field begins with "W"

Yep, got those too.
There should be some "B" parts in one of those sources also.

Is there a place in the EPC or on global that shows if a part number is B/M or W. We are on autosoft, I was just told by them that there is no indication in quicklook or the queries screen to tell if a part is MPL.

Our Dealership has not signed up for the latest and "greatest" program offered by OEC. Our DMS still calculates "retail/ wholesale" prices. No need to spend an additional $299 per mo (or whatever the fee is) for something that we're already have.
