I was having problems with the catalogs. I have a server based system. I called in to Snap On Support 8006564772 and now my catalog is flying. They had to install a patch. It took them about 30 minutes. That might help. Or your computer is to slow to handle it. If you are not getting new computers every 4-5 years you are out of touch. Just saying.

I have the patch and we lease their pc's and it is running very slow today. I usually use the web based catalog and it was running slow and giving me fatal errors. I switched to my pc catalog and it's not much if any better. I just think it's a bad product.

We just did a 6 disc update. Took over 24 hours. There is now the option to change the font.

We too are leasing their equipment and performed the 6 disk update. Our 2 Stand-Alone pc's are running very slow and takes 45 seconds to over a minute before a page loads. I've downloaded and installed the patch and nothing has changed.

We go to Global Connect and use the EPC on the site and the catalog is super fast. What am I missing? Did I load something wrong? Is it our pc's or our network? Prior to the 6 disk update, all was well.

Any suggestions?

I spent about a hour on the phone with SNAP-ON support yesterday. He told me they will be coming out with new update discs in about 2 weeks. In the meantime they have another fix they are trying, He went into a SNAP-ON folder in my computer and changed a cache setting from 256mb to 1gb it seemed to help so far. I would call SNAP-ON support and ask them to change this for you. If they don't know what your talking about, Jonathan was the agent I talked to, He made this change using notepad.

They changed mine to 1 gb also but I'm not sure it worked. It is just not a good product.

They will probably fix one thing and screw up another.

Received a USB with a "GM EPC Critical Update" yesterday.

I can receive all my future updates on USB for only $18 a month. :o

Wow, what a bargain.

I guess the $1200+ a month I pay for this POS catalog isn't enough.
