Maybe bill them, initially, to Sales Expense/Cost of Sales, and not the stock number. Then if the vehicle sells and the customer wants them, sales can have you bill the replacement set to the stock number, as if it is a new accessory sale. If they can tell you to make a credit, they can tell you to make a bill.
