GM CORE RETURN ERROR

GM CORE RETURN ERROR

Postby mdishong » Thu Oct 27, 2016 7:49 pm

We sent back a Transmission ($1000) instead of a Torq Converter ($100) on paperwork request to Focus Hope.

VIP: the Warranty Transmission Claim is paid in full & cleared the 15 days!

Q1: has anyone sent back a core with a higher value CORE, for paperwork for a cheaper value core. What was credited, the amount on paperwork OR the part itself?

I did get the transmission intercepted & they want me to arrange picking it up with a carrier at my expense in Detroit MI.

Since a warranty claim is NOT in the picture, I'm wondering if it is worth the expense. Or, am I taking a $900 gamble by not getting it back.

Q2: who is a cheap carry for such a project if I need to get it back?

Thank you for the help!

Put in a return for the transmission and since they already have it, they can give you the credit.

That's what I was thinking. Why would they want me to pick it up, just to turn around and send back?

IF you can get the right person to help, I would hope they could handle it with faxing paperwork etc.

Good luck finding the "right person" in GM land. But there are a few that actually care. Just few and far between.

Hope you can get it worked out. You'd think they never made a mistake and needed a hand

FINAL UPDATE: emailed my new transmission docs to HCL (back in mid-Oct.) and after 7 phone calls (keep after them) I reached a very helpful lady by the name of Patsy. She took the time to find the trans & updated my paperwork. And the core was processed within a few days ($1000 paid today).
