BUMP THE COMP

I have so many questions on this I don't even know where to start. I read through the the gm lam site but I am still really confused on how it works. One of my body shops sent an order over today with half parts written for aftermarket and half for LKQ or "used" parts. Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can actually learn how this program works or explain it to me in layman's terms.

OK so using this as an example what would you sell this part for on the ticket?

Part# 20983229 GM'S COST $389.20

the estimate is written for a used/am for $425 list price.

I submitted my first single claim and it was for $59.78

But I am still kind of confused on what to charge the outside shop for this bumper. Would I sell it at a lost? What would you guys sell it to YOUR customer for?

sell it for $383.91 as a loss on the slip. when receive credit from GM,
credit 683 (wholesale cost of sale) $59.78

So you would just "sell" on ticket at GM's "lowest selling price" on the excel spreadsheet correct?

Did you guys see this? Reference Number: GCUS-9-3126:

"The Bump Guides have been updated since the original release on November 1st. A few of the Dealer prices were outdated in the original posting, thus affecting some of the Claim amounts for November. These items have been changed and the updated guides have been posted. To ensure proper Dealer and Claim amounts, please use the updated guides for November. Ok so today was the first time I submitted a BTC claim. I'll first start off by saying we aren't a big dealer with a big amount of body shops. I may have half a dozen shops who order from me regularly. I just don't get this program, to me it seems like it takes so much more effort to file and claim and wait to get money back. Why not just take the loss right on the invoice and sell it at what you can. Up to this point that is what I have been doing with my body shops if they needed me to match a price or get them close I would just do it right on the invoice. (I would never sell under cost, just adjust the price to make both party's make a little)

Unless I am missing something here, if I am selling the part at a lower cost but still in the end after getting reimbursed from gm and still only making $14.37 on the part why not just adjust it right on the invoice and not file a claim and do all this extra paper work and wait how ever long to get my credit.............is this program stupid or am I stupid and missing something here?????
