Good evening all!
Just looking to get a good reality check from some of you intelligent folk.
Going on year 4 of being a one man band at an 8 tech Chevrolet dealership. I became manager at the end of April 2013. Had a rough patch end of 2015...loss of motivation/interest/etc...back on track again however. Last time I got some "motivation" was some commission every month off of sales. I'm hourly still (10/hr.), I put in 55-60 hours/week (Mon-Sat). Commission usually falls in the $500-600 mark when it comes.
Am I nuts?
I love the place, don't get me wrong. I've been with the company since November 2009 as an ASEP apprentice from the local GM ASEP program in the shop. Headed to parts April 2011 as a counterman. Both the owners are great, most of the people I work with are great, yet...I don't know...some days I just don't want to be there. When I had my rough patch back in 2015, I had applied at a dealer other side of the city we are east of. More $$, same drive distance...but the position was not really what I was interested in (wholesale manager). Plus (no offense to the manager there) he came off as if I didn't know much. Kind of irritated me.
All opinions are much welcome.
