Any wholesale guys leave parts on consignment at shops?

Hi

Any of you guys into wholesale have customers where you leave parts there on consignment?

I'm weighing the pros and cons of leaving a bunch of filters, brake pads, spark plugs, etc at one of my independents to start and maybe more later if it works out.

any thoughts?

We have had some shops that must think their parts are on consignment because we had to go after the money. No , we do not anticipate doing this.

LOL, the customer I'm thinking of isn't even on a charge.

So I'm thinking I would just got up on Fridays, see what he used and collect a check. It would save us a lot in gas for delivering air filters to him a few times a week for minimal profit.

Might also motivate him to use more factory parts if they are already sitting there.

This is for Toyota BTW
