Has anybody ever had to do a claim for a laser cut key cut incorrectly at the factory?
The correct key code is on my invoice but it is cut different than the original key... :x

The key code might be incorrect, I've had that happen.

You can file a claim for the key.

We had it happen twice for the same car, GM supplier insisted that they cut a third key and verified it was correct by coding a lock cylinder to test it. We could visually see the key had not been installed in the cutter correctly. We finally just removed the blade from the broken transmitter and installed it on the new one. We explained this to the customer.

We claimed both miscut keys on a warranty claim. Why? We opened the package and attempted to install (tested in vehicle) - this meets requirement for warranty claim. We EARNED the cost + 40% on that one.....
