Consignment Shelf

Has anyone had any success with a consignment shelf at a customer's shop?

I just started one for the first time. He is using some stuff he would have gotten aftermarket if he didn't have our stuff sitting there.

You must stay on top of the inventory constantly, in person. And if they go out of business, well...

I'm kind of lucky. I've known the guy for 30 years and we used to work together.

Has had his own shop for the last 20 or so years. He's not going anywhere and I trust him.

It's not going to be a huge increase in profit but he is using things he normally wouldn't be and we don't have to drop what we're doing to deliver spark plugs and filters for a 30 round trip.
