17199 GM RECALL

17199 GM RECALL

Postby nbeckhart23 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 9:11 pm

Can anyone tell me or have any literature on why GM would change the price of the module part number 42619308 from $450.00 cost to $150.00. Yesterday we tried to submit a claim for this and it was way over. My DMS (CDK) showed a cost of $450.00 went on Global and it stated the part was $150.00. I even checked my GM invoices and I was only charged the $150.00 but why change the cost?

Well they changed the price on 6/28, probably long after the price tapes had gone to the DMS systems...even oeconnection still shows cost at 450.

Bastards.

It seems like everytime a recall comes out that the parts cost magically goes way down expecially when their is a large volume of vehicles involved
in the recall. I think that they purposely do this so they don't have to show as much expense in fixing their mistake that they created when building
the vehicle. They have to take care of the shareholders first not the customer or the dealers.

DING, DING, DING!! FOLKS, WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! They have been doing that with campaign parts for years. I recall an ignition wire recall back in the 90's for 3.4 dual overhead cam motors. Parts catalog part number dealer cost was like $175.00. Campaign had a different part number for the same wires with a dealer cost of $70.00.

They did the same thing with the Vibe airbags, and the cost went from close to $500 to $150.

They love to steal from the dealers.
