What is the process to get one of the key fobs. I was told to order the fob/ key combo and program, then tear it apart like you do on the recall. Half of the numbers listed in the catalog say no inventory at GM. Your thoughts.

Are you looking at the coded part number or the uncoded? We always order uncoded when we only need the transmitter portion.

Looking for coded, but I have not tried the uncoded number yet, maybe maybe. Thanks

Well, for record, all of the coded keys will show no stock as they are ship direct. But, for what you are doing, I think an uncoded key would be just fine and cheaper as well.
