Yes, and seat belt retractors too.

I talked with the owner after work, and we are going to sit down and look at the different options. We used hazmatU last year, after much feet dragging by the PM. "We've never needed it before."

As far as hazmat certification goes, I know in my state you cannot even sign any of the BOLs or hazmat logs if you are not certified. If you are audited by the state or county and they find that you are in non-compliance, it could mean big fines for your company.

I went to a 3 hour hazmat seminar yesterday that was put on by the area dealer's association. Should know in a couple days if I passed the exam, which I'm confident I did.

My pushing the issue on this hazmat class was not very popular with the other parts personnel. All I care is that the owner is on board with having the training.

Certified for three years thankfully.

Many years ago I told our GM DMA that it would be a great idea for GM to hold a hazmat training class locally for all dealers that needed certification. I got no where with this, I though at the time it was a good idea and it still is, but I don't think it will ever happen. They could at least offer it on the Center of Learning since I am sure they have a contract with someone to provide it to the PDC's.

That is a great idea actually. I'm surprised they didn't run with it. They can charge $1000 to the dealer for the class but you can use your iMR funds to pay for it!
Coming soon I am sure.

LOL good one. I needed a laugh before I headed off for a week of vacation. Conquest funds I got, IMR funds I don't.
