With all your documentation, there should be no trouble filing a claim on it if it comes in and won't work properly. Yes it is a hassle to order again, IF you can order. Granted, their way sounds hokey, but it is so hokey, it may actually work. Good luck!

Just a heads up, the Vxxxx codes are a 10 cut where the Zxxx codes are 8. Doubtful it would work.
MIKE1010 wrote:You can program the fob without the service key but it is kind of a pain. You do it the same as you would by adding keys.Have a good wad of tin foil ready. Start car with known working key. Pull key out. Wrap head of key with tin foil several layers of foil. Insert key and hold remote to be programed against key. Start car. This all has to be done in the allotted time in the service procedure. It may take a few times with more than a few layers. Also it will only program 8 keys total including lost ones so if it doesn't program you may have to clear all keys. For future always order fob with cut shank. Program fob, remove shank, throw shank away. Tell customer against NTSB to sell with shank.
