I currently use the amsoil site to lookup oil type and capacity. Does anyone know of any other options other than alldata? Something simple that I can put a vin into and go.

If you have an aftermarket parts source (we use Bumper to Bumper), their online catalog has both oil type and capacity on it. Comes in handy when my counter people are looking up non-Hyundai vehicles.

If your setup with Napa PROlink (its free from your local NAPA) they have a link to that info and service intervals for most makes.

I have been using this Amsoil webpage for a few years now just for the purpose of oil type and quantity.. It is relatively convenient and requires no login.

Snap on catalog group 18 shows oil recommendations and capacities for most vehicles

We sell the Valvoline branded 'VPS' flushes, and they give us nice printed catalogs that list all makes fluid specs and capacities, transfer cases and differentials and engine oils etc. There's even an 800 number direct to their engineering group that will fill in the blanks.

Wait that sounded like an advertisement, which I know is verboten. But it's what we use for anything non-GM.

Are you having customers sign the disclosure for the flushes?

Unfortunately we have to. This policy is nothing new to GM, they've had it in P&P for years. It's just they're now checking up on everybody because they have this ability to see non-GM parts on the "Loyalty" program reports
