When I worked at GM not to long ago we started pricing out those bolts with every cruze brake job that came through and the techs were brushing them off and crossing them out on the sheet using the excuse that they wouldn't sell the job with the extra bolts on the quote

That's because they get paid the same if they replace them or they don't. They want to make sure the brake job can be sold. They don't care if the bolts NEED to be replaced as per Service Information. Service Consultants feel the same way. Human nature being what it is, they take the path of LEAST RESISTANCE. Parts manager needs to have a sit down with the service manager. Especially in todays overly litigious society.
