Parts shipping issues.

Parts shipping issues.

Postby camaroman » Mon Feb 05, 2018 3:31 pm

So I am beginning to wonder if GM is messing with small dealers RIF shipments or if it is happening to bigger dealers too. Fascias out of Yipsalnti are taking 5 days instead of the standard 2 days, 058 shipments being delayed, ect. Trying to track them has become difficult and the Cross Dock is not very helpful either.

from Southern California, we have experienced these same delays from 58 and 87 as well...

I don't think it is a small dealer deal. just my thoughts...

We have been experiencing multiple day delays on referral parts shipped from 58, 75, and 76.

Anything going thru the Michigan cross docks are taking MULTIPLE days to get thru there. My local PDC has sent a lot of emails saying their are carrier driver shortages causing massive delays

I called them out on this very issue ... sent an email to my DMA and the PDC liaison. Still awaiting an intellectual response.

They don't care. They want you buying fascias and grilles from the local mega dealers who buy in bulk to "support the system"

Too bad that none of the mega dealers in our area have the one I am waiting for. Another GM plan that was not well thought out.

I thought I was the only one, Michigan used to be a safe to say 5 business days, now its anywhere between 8-12 days to get. Looks like parts are held at MI crossdock for 2-3 days. The only "tracking" info you get is if it left the MI crossdock, after parts are shipped there is no tracking until it hits your doorstep.
