Parts Availability and Extended Shipping Time Issues
Dear Partners,

I wanted to take the opportunity to address some of the parts availability and extended shipping time issues that you may been experiencing. There are two issues that CCA North American is working through: Supplier Delays and the shortage of transportation resources throughout the industry.

Supplier Delays:
The increases in vehicle sales, and the high level of service business driven by unseasonably cold temperatures across most of North America, has caused a backlog of orders to be filled by our Supplier Partners. Our Suppliers are taking action by increasing production through extended working hours and supplemental shifts.

Transportation:
With regards to transportation, we are currently experiencing a shortage of trailers and drivers to transport products from the suppliers to our PDCs and then onwards. The phenomena is being felt across all industries and across all North America. Our logistics team is working diligently to secure as many trailers and drivers as possible to ensure parts are moving as expeditiously as possible to minimize disruptions at our Dealerships.

I truly appreciate the concerns you may have at this point and wanted to let you know that many at CCA in Canada and the US are working hard to address these concerns as quickly as possible. I truly appreciate your understanding.

Please contact your Regional Manager- Customer Care & Aftersales if you have any further concerns.

What are we supposed to do......... SLOW DOWN? Don't they have RIM to forecast what they need on the shelf? Its more than likely true but I would be embarrassed to tell the people I have been lecturing to for how many years on how we should run our inventories.

So, you're saying GM is being, uh, less than truthful with us? :o Say it ain't so.

I have 4 orders out there for stock for part# 13251447. They initially backordered then released to plant 058 Willow Run MI. The oldest wrote there on 1/26/18. They now show stock but they haven't shipped. I asked about them at our facing PDC (Martinsburg) yesterday (2/9/18) and was told it looks like they haven't picked the orders yet.
Someone please me tell how that is the fault of "Supplier Delays" or "Transportation". :(

This, my friends, is service at it's finest. :(
Of course, we are the ones who catch the grief from our customer.

I just looked up a shipment that says:
Shipped from Lansing 2/6/18
In transit to Philadelphia 6/12/18
Eta to us 8/3/18.
I'm sure it's inaccurate but seriously??
