HONDA & AUTOMATE

:?: Any Honda dealers with AutoMate on this forum?

I have a few issues here and I'd like to know if its just me or everyone else. Honda blames AutoMate & AutoMate blames Honda.

What are the specifics? I was in a large Honda Dealership last week; they were using Automate, and dropping it soon; maybe I can help on the forum or directly miknik@aol.com

When we transfer (SEND (DMS)) from the catalog shopping cart to AutoMate certain items will not transfer.

IE: Wheel Covers & Brake Rotors come to mind.

I was wondering if the same thing was happening at that dealership too.

It seems a coordination condition between Automate and Honda and neither will 'fess up' to just who is not doing their job. Sort of a spitting contest between 'programmer' egos. I wish I could help more, but I'd put my stock in Honda before Automate.

Reminds of trying to get the special order names from Reynolds to Honda. Reynolds said it was a Honda problem, and Honda said it was a Reynolds problem. Now you knew it was possible, I was told it works for other manufacturers. . If you wanted customer names on your parts tags, you had to type them in after you transmitted your order to Honda. Don't miss having to do that.
