GM Dealers - NO power at Philly 006

Postby Parts007 » Thu Mar 08, 2018 6:33 pm

I just received word that Philly and the crossdock have no power. An official statement should be coming out soon.. Plan accordingly.

The official statement is we are screwed. The way I see it is anything ordered CSO that they cannot provide should be shipped overnight from another warehouse. But we all know that is not going to happen. Delco and aftermarket here we come. Objective be damned!

We got the same excuse from Reno 086 the other day... What are the odds?

Since the storm, the shortages are horrible... I thought shortages were bad before, today and yesterday have been pitiful. According to the warehouse I have 33 recycles coming to me tomorrow.. This is totally unacceptable! Either the loaders were just throwing stuff on trucks or the drivers were just throwing stuff at the dealers... Jeez...

I got an email from our rep this morning, it says our focus is tires and batteries.

I was just talking to my DP this morning and he said the same thing.. They want us to focus on tires and batteries.. I told him change the name on the front of the building to Pep Boys! He didn't like my comment but he agreed with me.. Amazing..

Evidently Charlotte had power but all we got was CSO. E-mail sent out this morning says what is obvious, we could only send out CSO. No reason stated just you will get the rest tonight.

That's RICH !! So we are all to concentrate on areas that will increase our parts and service business, but NOT put a burden on the broken GMSPO parts distribution network. OMFG !!

Don't forget Accessories! That's because GM doesn't have to touch them or tires or batteries! The Vendors deliver direct and GM gets a cut.
