"Backorder-PDC receipt pending"

Just a heads up for the GM folks:
This morning I ordered a 96958195 hose that's a Service Lane part on a regular CSO order. Martinsburg was out but Charlotte was showing 33. Rather than cross-ship it, GM backordered it.
Also, on today's stock order a few parts said "Backorder-PDC receipt pending" when other PDC's shows to have stock.

So, I assume they are going to start holding backorders at our facing PDC rather than refer them to a plant with stock, even CSO SLP parts?
Maybe this is a way for them to caught up on the cross-dock situation?

I've seen that in the past but not recently. Use to if it was a DRO and your PDC had stock expected within 10 days they would hold the backorder. If not, it would auto-refer. We just upgrade any and all RIM/DRO backorders to CSO to force the referral.

You are right, I remember that too. And I'm sure that is the case for the parts on the stock order.
What really made me take notice was the SLP part that was already on a CSO order. That doesn't seem like a good way for GM to promote customer satisfaction.

Just get it from Amazon ... they show "in stock" and FREE SHIPPING !!

What does this shit mean? Near as I can tell they are taking RIM parts that are upgraded to CSO and throwing them back to your Facing PDC to sit till they get stock on these parts. I guess that means if we upgrade a RIM stock part to CSO it will just sit. I guess GM is sick of paying that FEDX bill as they ship parts back and forth across the US. Answer……… fix your logistics and supplier problems and get some damn parts in the PDC’s. They must be using RIM for their inventory control. Welcome to our life!!!!!!

Plain and simply, this GM controlling your PASE pay outs. If you cant get part you buy it from elsewhere, boom loyalty goes down. If you cant get part in timely fashion service gets dinged on CSI.

Is anyone else having deja vu? GM did this very thing when they launched the SLP/CSSR bs. THEN felt it necessary to penalize dealers for it, albeit for only a few months. GM will do anything for cash flow in their favor, but this IS just like you said:"underhanded and shitty"! The dirty rat bastards

I guess we're lucky with only 30 backorders, and 8 SPAC cases, oldest is November (which they so conveniently cancelled yesterday and I have to start all over again)
